Dr. Advani’s Qualifications

Dr. Priya Advani graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California.

She also earned Masters and Doctoral degrees while studying acupuncture points, meridian theory, herbal formulas, and the effects of essential oils as well as Qi Gong, meditation practices, energy work, Reiki, and Chakra balancing along with aspects of traditional western clinical medicine.

Licensure and Certification: California Acupuncture Boards

The Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine is approved by the California Acupuncture Board.  Graduates of the MTOM program are eligible to sit for the California Acupuncture Licensing Examination. 

Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine

The Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine (MTOM) program at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine is accredited by the Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).  ACAOM is the recognized accrediting agency for programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. 

Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

The postgraduate Doctor of Acupuncture Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program at The Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine has earned Accreditation from the Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).  ACAOM is the recognized accrediting agency for programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. 

Personal Notes


Dr. Advani was the editor of Emperor College’s newsletter, “Yi Dao,” and served as the President of the student body in her final year.

Dr. Advani knows from personal experience, and the experience of her patients, all about the benefit of balance and harmony in the body as well as the importance of connecting mind, body and spirit.

She brings her knowledge and experience to her practice, where she blends Eastern and Western medicines together to create integrative acupuncture.
